We’re excited to bring you the next installment of our Member Spotlight series, which will focus on various members of The Strength House who exemplify the core values of who we are and what we do! Our next installment features Hilary, a strong woman in SO many ways who has been with us since long before our brick-and-mortar gym.
Hometown: North Grafton
Spirit Animal: Owl – Because I am fairly wise, honest (to a fault sometimes!) and pretty intuitive.
What do you like to do when you’re not training? When I am not lifting, I am spending my time with my 7 year old identical twin daughters (the loves of my life!).
What brought you to The Strength House? I was part of Tony’s Women’s Powerlifting team and it was an absolute no brainer for me to join TSH when it opened. I was THRILLED for Tony & Greg when they announced they were opening their own facility.
What is your proudest accomplishment since joining The Strength House? Probably hitting a 135 (and more!) bench press. I struggled with bench for so so long and never thought that I would be able to press “big plates”. It was a pretty big milestone for me.
Besides the training, what’s your favorite part of being a Strength House member? Getting to hang with TSH dogs! Who doesn’t love to see Eddy or Brooke when they walk in the door?!
What motivates you to keep training hard? Two things: 1.) Continuing to set new goals that I know I will hit if I just keep showing up and putting the work in and 2.) for my girls to grow up seeing their mom be STRONG and where hard work and dedication can get you.
