We are excited to announce the return of our Summer College Athlete Development Program. This summer is going to be the best one yet! We missed everyone last year, but with the rise in vaccinations, and our continued safety protocols we are confident in offering our safest, most complete summer program yet.
Who is this program for?
The program is open to any current college student athletes, as well as incoming freshmen.
What can you expect this summer?
Every athlete will receive a thorough evaluation and athlete profile. Evaluations will include a full movement screen to ensure that we address any movement concerns, as well as choose movements in the gym that best fit each athlete.
Athlete profiles will include detailed performance testing measures pertinent to each athlete’s sport. This data will be tested at the start of the summer, and at various points throughout the program. Each athlete will gain a firm understanding of what the data means, and how training will be geared towards working on the specific measures through our training program. At the end of the summer athletes will be able to see where they made improvements by receiving copies of their athlete profile.
Additionally athletes will go through daily readiness evaluations each training session. This quick battery of tests will allow us to see how you are recovering from your training / possible summer competitive schedules. Training will then be optimized to ensure consistent progress, and make sure that training is not taking away from those who are participating in summer sports.
Each athlete will have the option to train at group start times, or get self started (with coaching guidance) if the group start times do not coincide with their schedules. In either case, athletes will receive individualized programs to address their needs based on the aforementioned evaluation, athlete profile, and daily readiness score.
Sessions will be available 6 Days a week, and athletes may train up to 4x/week. Athletes may schedule their initial evaluation as soon as they are home. Schedules will be released in early May. Athletes can expect afternoon – evening sessions until the end of high school academic calendar at which point sessions will run:
Monday: 9:00 am – 2:00 pm
Tuesday: 9:00 am – 2:00 pm
Wednesday: 9:00 am – 12:00 pm
Thursday: 9:00 am – 2:00 pm
Friday: 9:00 am – 2:00 pm
Saturday: 9:00 am – 12:00 pm
The cost for training will be $160/month. Returning athletes to The Strength House will receive complimentary evaluations. All new athletes will incur a one time $99 evaluation / initial athlete profile fee.
